PATIENT TRANSPORT

Non-emergency medical transport, on time every visit

Scheduled ambulance transport for dialysis, chemotherapy, imaging, physician appointments, and post-discharge trips across New York and New Jersey. Reliable pickup and return, trained crew, and medical monitoring throughout every trip.

What This Service Is

What non-emergency medical transport means

Non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) is scheduled ambulance service for patients who require medical-grade transport but are not experiencing an acute emergency at the time of pickup. This includes patients on regular dialysis schedules, patients undergoing chemotherapy cycles, patients with mobility limitations requiring stretcher transport, and patients whose condition requires monitoring during transit.

Hatzolah EMS NEMT is staffed by certified EMTs who provide monitoring, positioning assistance, and patient communication during every trip. Vehicles are equipped with stretcher, wheelchair loading equipment, oxygen, and monitoring devices. We coordinate directly with receiving facilities to confirm arrival windows and support smooth patient handoffs.

Scheduling is handled through our dispatch office. Standing orders can be established for recurring trips (for example, dialysis three times per week) so that patients do not need to call for each appointment. Our scheduling team works with case managers, social workers, and discharge planners to coordinate transport from hospital to home or facility.
